But most of the mechanical systems on a bike owned by Shimano... Even when I was a youth, Shimano was the maker of the multi-gear re-railer an derailer for multispeed bikes, also as far as brake calipers were also Shimano. They are not America owned as far as I know.

I am willing to bet large that these bikes are most definitely NOT made in the USA.
