Do you think the new OCC show that will air on CMT will be different from the olde American Chopper??? Will it just be the same show, new network???? Or do you think they will rework the show, to try to bring something new???
Any suggestions on how the show could be reworked so that a larger portion of viewers could be obtained??????
Nope Sr will do no hands on work as always except for stuffing something up and he will find someone new to abuse. Sounds like American Chopper just no Rachael. lolol
Bring in Rachael and the boutique. lol

I would think that they would have to change the format somewhat. Discovery owns the rights to AC, including the format. So they must have to change it up a bit in order to avoid any lawsuits. Not to mention any contractual limitations that may left over and still in effect.
I expect the new show to be essentially the same though. I would be horrified to tune in and see Sr Boo Boo or Snooki Teutul.
Occ will become a variety show, with cover bands coming into the café to play live music, an occasionally the minions might build a bike, argue with Pohl about how lame his design is. An Senior will belittle his son about his bike building skills... Nothing really new....
Senior is more of a "star" or "public figure" than anyone else on the show. Senior was so popular that he became a caricature. Anytime someone sees that mustache and sleeveless shirts, the first thought is Senior.
If that is anything like JcPenny's teapot resembling a caricature of Heir Adolf, I don't think you'd want that as a caricature.
I do remember people stating that they would fast forward thru the OCC segments, but then they knew everything Senior said or did. So I never believe it.
Not if Senior has clearly stated that the family is non-Gratus on his new program
Junior will never live down smashing Rachael's dreams like that.
As I've mentioned before EL!! She is the head of PJD merchandising division. A.KA. as PJD apparel.......

I don't have any idea what JC Penney's tea pot looks like.
But you know if you stopped 100 people going in a mall or wherever, and you showed them a picture of Senior and a picture of Junior. And then asked them if they recognize either figure, that more people would recognize Senior.
The difference being that even people who did not watch the show, know that guy with the walrus mustache who builds bikes. The only people who would recognize Junior would be watchers of AC.
Senior transcended the viewership of American Chopper. Junior never did.

junior would be known for his crew cut mohawk if he ever took his hat off.

Oh I wouldn't doubt that some of Junior's grooming traits are just as comical. Never will not deny it. When it comes down to cheesy characters, they both serve a gracious gift of a loaf of limburger.

So he's popular El? Wonder why he loses ALL of the build offs then? More people on Facebook would fast forward OCC you just had to read there page to know that and luckily for them they weren't forced to watch to pull up a person who misquotes or takes them out of contexts. Yeah I'm sure every night he sleeps with her he must just feel like the worse human in the world. LMAO

Jr is known for his design Sr is known for a stash and a sleeve lest shirt just ask El. Any yelling fool could of replaced Sr at anytime, heck his lookalike could of done the job. LMAO But look at what they got when they replaced Jr? A horse bike LMAO

They also got the OCC Band bike, the Make A Wish bike. Several other good ones.
Now if you (Coxie) approach OCC and want a pink motorcycle, with a basket for flowers, with a King and Queen seat with a teddy bear in the Queen position, and you choose to pay 300,000 to 400,000 for such a bike then the fault lies with the purchaser who came up with the concept. Certainly not on OCC for making money.

What do those bikes got to do with anything? We're talking about image and what people are known for. Jr is known for his skills in design while Sr is known for um yelling, screaming and abusing his wife and kids.

Of course CMT put a positive spin on Sr, they certainly aren't going to get viewers by promoting his financial foibles, family disputes, or choice of dental procedures. And CMT is the perfect network to spotlight the horsey bike.
What do you expect the people flogging his show to networks would say? He's a babbling fool who can't put together a sentence without a few um ars ders and has trouble doing the simplest thing on a bike? Remember El we all have seen him now for over 10 years and we have seen his mechanical genius in work.

What mechanical genius... He lacks a eye for design, proportion, style, and aesthetic. Senior is mainly quality is the type that can make mass amounts of Two-tone cake decorated chocolate, yellow, or marbled cake specials. He don't even have Robb anymore to do any serious custom paint offering that can come close to the type of artistic efforts of Nub's.
Don'cha know Hillbilly is in... It just pain good ol'e moral programming for them gun toting, duck commanding, Honey BooBoo, Ted Nugent assault rifle carrying, Swamp critter, hog chasing types.. Ones that Jeff Foxworthy has mad his living on with his routine.
Mo-KCar:"He (Senior) lacks a eye for design, proportion, style, and aesthetic. "
That is just like your opinion man.
"He (Senior) went with something I had never seen before (design of back fender). It looked good" Lee : DECA-Col-Met episode
Apparently the guys in the shop think Senior knows what he is doing.
S6 EP2 Lee says "the problems that's Sr is having with assembly are problems we really wouldn't have if Jr was here, since Christen is getting pulled off other projects to help out it's slowing down the process here to the point where missing deadlines on other bikes.
Doesn't sound like it to me El.

Other than recreations of older bike styles. Has " THE SENILE TEUTUL " Created A bike himself with any cutting edge design. HONESTLY other than with Quinn's or Jason's help. Has the "SENIOR one" designed or fabricated a bike that truly been a bike with a eye to the newest an latest style trends out there.

Probably a good idea he called his business "Orange County Choppers", and not "Paul Sr Designs".

Sorry Izzy.. I just see the U-tube clip of Jason Stool Expunging the awesomeness of the 3-d design of the Chinese Dragon Cycle. I had my hater vision glasses on for a little bit. Senior is getting worse nowadays taking new tech machines an saying he is MR. innovative in choppers, but yet what did he design, nada. His lackies or minions did it. It's like Senior is the slave master taking credit of the amount of Cotton the slaves picked, an puffing up saying without him nobody cold pick that same amount of Cotton... Nobody, not even in any way because they don't have the technology to do it.

The great ones put the tools in the hands of the people hired to do the job. All the whining before was sr would not leave jr alone to work his magic by staring at a bike and showing up at noon. Now he gets the equipment and lets the people do the job and its still wrong. I dont hear sr posting or talking alot of I's anymore. Its we and the company and giving credit to the technology and the people he is paying to do the job. Somehow they are still around.
Donald Trump puts up temples to himself all over the globe while sr builds his brand. There is no I in team. He isnt the egomaniac jr is who takes credit for designing things companies are copying for him.

Coxie:"He (Senior) couldn't have named the company Paul Sr Designs could he??"
If Senior had wanted to call the company Paul Sr. Designs, he could have. It was his company. After all Senior started OCC.
"My father came up with the idea of the bike shop" Junior: Biketober episode
So Senior could have called the shop whatever he wanted. But Senior recognized that Junior came up with a nice logo. It fit what they were doing. Senior is quite good at finding talent (Junior, Vinnie, Rick.....etc) and then putting them in position to succeed.
And just for good measure:
"Most people don't succeed like he (Senior) has. He has earned whatever he wants to do" Junior: BikeTober episode
No El the company was co founded by Sr and Jr. And Jr came up with all the other ideas. Like contacting Discovery and the show format and the rest. So Sr couldn't just name it what he wanted unless he wanted to look like a fool.
And El what is the biketober episode? what year?

So to be "cool", a bike has to be the "newest and latest style"? Just because something is new does not make it cool. Maybe you are one of those "trendy" people that have to have the absolute newest thing. Most new things are trash. Plastic crap.
I tend to believe "cool" has nothing to do with new or olde. If something is cool, then it is cool. A 65 Mustang is cool and it is over 40 years olde.
And you always say that Senior has never designed anything, which is weird because we have seen it on American Chopper. He designed the "POW/MIA" bike, which is one of the most iconic bikes that OCC ever made.
Coxie:"Would of been pretty silly considering the history of OCC."
So you are worried about history. And I presume you think Junior honours history more than Senior does. What about the Black Widow bike being an OCC bike thru and through, but then Junior sticks a PJD logo on it?????? Did we not all see the bike being built on American Chopper over at OCC???? What happened to that history?????

I'm talking about how OCC started. Remember Sr had to get Jr to design bikes cause OCC wasn't started when Sr was so called building bikes in his basement if you call taking Harley's and other bikes and slapping metal on the tanks and fenders and repainting them building bikes. He couldn't have named the company Paul Sr Designs could he??

I dont go around wasting time looking at websites, especially the about pages of people I despise to find more things to hate about them. That is the elementary difference between us.

Boy you are getting a lot of traction out of my little quote feeling some compassion to Jason an the crew being the workers that feed Seniors ego to look good at all costs. Senior other than riding Paulies design to fame has never done nothing other than acting like a steroid-induced rage head over the years. Other than being a image to go on for the head of O.C.C. an mouthing off to his son when he didn't have his daipee changed. Sure nowadays since he's laid off the dentist work an massage treatments his temper has subdued, he still as of yet has calmed down enough to stop from being the family bully trying to manipulate the relationship to get his image back into a positive light.
My major complaint with regards to Senior is his propensity/driven desire to try and make an ass out of his own flesh and blood. It's just not natural. Even in aggressive, failed parent-child relationships, it is not normal for the parent in question to want his, or her child to fail, or look foolish. I'd venture to say that's where most of the animosity towards Senior comes from. That said, Junior sure hasn't been setting the world on fire of late,,, it's almost as if one of two scenarios have taken place, the first being the possibility that he views the show's demise as "the writing was on the wall, and it was a good eleven-year ride", or that Junior has "just said to hell with it"...???

Yep that's exactly why I first posted on the old forum. I just didn't get that part at all, yes Jr acted like the boss's son but the way Sr acted was just sad and pathetic.

I'm going to have to agree (on this rare occasion...lol) with you AI. The Walrus is barley able to grunt out his monosyllabic tweets. I find it utterly implausible Sr had any direct involvement in the lengthy "About OCC Café" page.

I Don't know, but in some cases the father desires that failure to prove that his perspective was the right one. That as we have heard Senior clearly say it. "Without me, you'd be nothing, you be flipping burgers at Mickey D's." He's clearly even said it to anyone that had a backbone to move on beyond his inner circle an sphere. If you try to strive beyond his eminency, literally it offends him to the point of trying to crush or pluck out those people that try to do this as it weakens his perceived dominance or illusions of leadership as a figurehead of his family an business.
Paul Teutul Sr. is returning to reality television with a new series on his Newburgh custom motorcycle business. “Orange County Choppers” will premiere later this year on CMT (Country Music Television), according to an announcement on the OCC website. The show is scheduled for eight hourlong episodes produced by Pilgrim Studios. The original “American Chopper,” which followed Orange County Choppers, ran from 2003-10 on Discovery and TLC.
I'm attempting to obtain copies of articles from the various trade publications which supply the cable television industry, there's bound to be something informative about the show within that realm.

There is defintely a type of parent who are willing to make asses of their own flesh and blood. They will definitely prefer the child fail or look foolish if they are not living their lives to the exact specifications of the parents.
These people are called narcissists. Senior pings as one pretty regularly.
