OUCH I don't mine looking at my own wounds but others are just horrible. Why is that doc?

Man Rick has some small chubby fingers(least ooks so from the pics), looked like he was bathing it in peroxide, scary an weird looking with all the bubbled up white tissue..

It has to do with the body's instincts for self-preservation, most likely the preservation of disease.  It's instinctual for a person to shy away from the blood, and other  bodily fluids of another person or animal.  That was our only protection against contagious disease prior to our discovery and understanding of micro-organisms (the 1850's/1860's).

There are some who faint at the sight of their own blood, although I've never witnessed that phenomenon...

I still find it so funny how one used to look around to make sure nobody saw their mistakes leading to injury but now post it as soon as they can on social media.
