I'm surprised that OCC got their own show first. I'd have figured that Jr would have been able to shmooz his way into a contract before Sr. I guess I forgot the appeal of controversy and conflict to the networks.

Hard as it is to believe, I think Sr is probably easier to work with than Jr is as far as the show goes. Jr had numerous problems with the producers. Sr's just happy to be the "talent" so he just does what they want.

It appears to me that this will be a self-funded attempt at producing a show, funding c/o one of OCC's shell companies, and probably self-distributed (similar to the deal Les Gold has with Richard Dominick Productions). In fact, I'd bet money they wind up on a secondary cable channel like SPEED, TruTV, NBC Sports, or one of the Roberts/Comcast "spare" channels. He may also opt to go on ROKU, Boxee, or RabbitTV...

That said, I think it's a wise move to "beat Paulie to the starting line". Senior almost can't lose on this one....

Have a variety entertainment hr program from the lounge of the O.C.C. Cafe.  Have Steve an Senior as the M.C.'s for the new music acts they bring to stage.  Or have the OCC band be backup to Senior as the M.C.   Senior could be the "NEW Leno" of late-night.

I found a blogsite devoted to "all things American Chopper", which announced Senior's news at the same time that we did, only difference is that someone may actually see it there: http://americanchopperandmore.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

The site looks to be well administered, and fairly balanced in it's (okay, their) point of view.

Maybe I should send an invite to join us here??

The Times Herald-Record has an article about the City of Newburgh establishing a "Film Office" designed to entice Hollywood to use the city for filming. Could it be that OCC may be receiving assistance from the City with regards to re-establishing a show which features the area??

Or -
designbyjoyce could be a fan of fabrication shows and is latching on to the only thing that the discovery channel has left to offer (like some of us here). Counting Cars is starting up again, perhaps she'll add that to her blogs as well. At least we don't have to look at Jesse James' smug mugg anymore.

I'm pretty sure "Joyce" isn't a woman though. I seem to remember somebody posting that it was a guys last name or something.

Not to change the subject, but one thing that I must admire about Senior is that he really does seem to be trying his best to keep OCC busy. That GAF Roofing build yielded 26 identical bikes, and periodic scans of motorcycle aficionado sites reveal adverts for their services (mechanical, inspection, painting, gear, etc..). Combined with his attempts to bring bands into the cafe on an almost weekly basis, and his attempts at publicity, I must congratulate him on trying his best to keep the company relevant.

Again, Rick is apparently working for himself at the RPD shop in East Stroudsburg, doing minor blacksmithing operations, and some sheet metal fabrication and motorcycle tank modification. Senior appears to have brought on another sheet metal specialist.

Junior has vacationed in Cali, quietly delivered a bike to a cabin in northern Michigan, and will deliver a bike to a charity dedicated to the advancement of women in dentistry (a noble cause, by the way), and funded by a company which manufactures supplies for dentistry. He posts very little about the business, itself. It's as if he has either written PJD (manufacturing) off, possibly in favor of his negotiating for another TV series.  Prior to the cancellation of the show, I would have said that Junior was making all the right moves, however, since then, he seems to have totally lost focus.

Vinnie is obviously working for himself, and solely for himself, not under contract to Junior. Cody states that he is still in Junior's employ on a full-time basis.

We've seen Vinnie, Cody, and even Mikey appear at various "motor head" related events/shows. Heck, Mikey even drove to Indiana in February to attend a motorcycle based convention. They are at least making an effort to remain in the public view.

But Junior??? His Twitter feed remains largely inactive, as is his YouTube account. The PJD Facebook page has some minor activity, but is almost exclusively limited to postings of old show-related pix, and an occasional mention/photo of the two (or three) projects which PJD has worked on this year.

This Tweet, by Junior, has me wondering if Junior is somehow under duress:

march.jpg

Please, do not think for one moment that I am faulting him for his beliefs, his faith, or his religiously active lifestyle, in fact, I applaud it, and the fact that his faith rescued him from the scourge of illicit drug use and alcoholism. My reasoning behind wondering about the above post is that some of the warning signs that healthcare practitioners are instructed to look for, are related to a person's sudden change in his personal business practices, lifestyle, or a withdrawal from either, or proclamations which appear to be outside of the context of their normal daily operations. This would fall into the latter.

Could it be that there is "trouble in River City"??

I could in a way imagine that he is retreating upon himself much ike he did after the O.C.C. incident 5 yrs ago.  But I am sure that he is working behind the scenes trying to get some kind of action together.  Honestly.... I'd take the production company, if he still has it, use it to his advantage, an start a internet production of the goings on fabircating the bikes, or the Teutuls team-up an get produce there own product.   That's what Graveyard Carz did.  they did their own production of the series before getting picked up by Discoveries Velocity channel.

They both need to get there own product out there for comsumption, whether on the internet or on another channel, Discovery isn't the only fish in the sea.  An with the built in media market that the Teutuls and other characters of A.C. have.

Junior must do much like he did to start up PJD.  is not to what for a corporate offer, he needs to build the television series equivalent of the VEMON bike or the Black Widow that got them their fame.  Nobody is just going to hand you a show you got to go out an get it.

Maybe Paulie could ask this guy to help him start a new show on one of the religious TV networks he's affiliated with...

LQsRYSGkwPvgaeQ-556x313-noPad.jpg

He could call it  "Christian Choppers"

Of course Senior is more likely to get a show. At least the Conquistador is interesting and actually says something, even if some don't like it. But that is kinda the point. Senior can get a response from people. Being perceived as the "bad" guy is not always a bad thing with TV programming.

Being middle of the road, like Junior is, only works if you have someone or something to contrast against. And for Junior that contrast was supplied by Senior.

Hasn't Paulie been working the evangelical church motivational speaker circuit for a number of years now? I don't think the religiosity is new for him.

WARNING, CATTY COMMENT AHEAD.

I can't believe he actually thinks that series "The Bible" on the History Channel was some kind of deep interpretation of the Old/New Testament on cinema. Franco Zeferelli's "Jesus of Nazareth" stands the test of time, and it was produced in the 70s.

An over 50 year old Roma Downey as the Virgin Mary? Puh-leeze.

OMG!! I thought I was the only pone who thought that Bible mini-series was a bit crap. They just skimmed over everything and made it all feel very cold and dead. Normally I love bible shows, but that was awful.

Coxie:"Yep Sr says heaps, um er der ah lol"

Never stated that Senior hit it out of the park every time he spoke.  But Senior did achieve a response, whether good or bad.  And it is just as important to have a "bad" character as it is a "good" character.  Look at how popular Darth Vader is.

Even the people that claimed that they never, ever, never, ever watched the OCC sements of American Chopper, sure knew every word that Senior said.

Yep Sr is very very popular. I wonder how someone so popular lost the bike build offs???? Must of been because of the crappy bikes his computer animator designed. Ta El.

He has already leaked the claim of a "New" series on a "New" network. How would some real details spoil the buzz? It would only serve to build anticipation among his base if true. Sr's entertainment value draw was his irrational tantrums, without Paulie to rail at what can he possibly offer??? jill61-603505-albums-emoticons-pic47441-confused-head-scratch-smiley.gif

Ooooh!!! Oooooh!!  I got it. (Raising Hand).  Insane bouts of flogging Jason Poole til he is seriously gets sick of working for Senior, but I doubt that since Jason as a huge ass-et clown that at least has another two seasons to milk the drama out of the gravy train.  Lets see: filim him coming back dejected after lossing what is now about his 3-4?? build-off competition.  Then working into the team starting to rag on Jason for the losses.  Rick seeing that he is talking to P.J.D crew (vinnie-codie) and Paulie himself.  Having Paulie hire Rick for a large new build for one of Juniors regular high  dollar clients wanting a more ole'school chop from P.J.D.  Senior-morrow build the drama-up as they decide after there best employee is working for his competition decides one again to double down on the legal avenue of the no-compete clause...   Well HEELLL... That may be the reason that A.C. is not on the radar with Rick working for himself.  Maybe the production company is looking to turn rick into the next Jesse James.  But anyways back to the story-line.  As the detected members of O.C.C. see the writing on the wall, cracks form in the foundation, slowly more an more of the crew that don't use senior as a leach for there alterantive dream careers.  They branch off to find new work or goto work for PJD.  Just Jason and Senior fighting alone you could milk it for a season or two.

I am just curious how long they can milk the gravy train of Jason's antics, acetylene-oxy bombs, an Quinns ideas of how to mill another unique set of antlers or a custom milled headlight shaped like a menacing animal.  Or could they interject fine entertainment of the OCC rock band playing their hits as background music as the build progresses.

I thought the gravy train milking had a nail firmly pounded into it's coffin Monday December 17th 2012??? Grim_reaper_by_Maxian.gif

If you believe that... , But I still see Senior I a endless gravy train that just needs a station to display his talents.  Jason...  Does it not ever not get funny watching them design hideous dragon like motor sculptures that astound the eyesockets of the biking public.
