When they went at that 59 Galaxie, I didn't know whether to *"sh*t, or wind my wrist watch"*, I can't believe what they did to that car. This is not television, it's criminal negligence of the worst type.  Painting the roof was bad enough, but when the commenced to "lower" the damn thing, I began swearing at the TV, and scared the hell out of my dog.

...and this is supposed to be better programming than American Chopper, or even worse, Dirty Jobs.

The stockholders of Dipscovery Networks need to grab the corporate reigns, and get some competent management in place to run the ship properly.

"Fix the attitude", as Aaron Kaufman said....

I don't think I'm alone in saying "keep it original, unless it's a basket case to begin with"...

*Wrist watch must not be used in the compound form, as it sets off the censorship alarm, I must be getting old, as it took me several minutes to figure out why???

Well, at least this time they didn't do anything that couldn't be reversed. The new owner could always restore the car easily, unlike some of the other cars that they've ruined over the course of the show.

Did anyone else notice Richard's use of the phrase "World Headquarters" when referring to the new shop ? An obvious jab at the "conquistador", as ElG would say.

that was awesome when he said world headquarters. Thats what makes that show worth watching. Like the new crew, smart guys, and more builds. Forget that money in the bank deal, he is banking that new building with the discovery money, just like occ did. hope it works out for them. They said they are keeping the little building as the original headquarters for a while in case this does not work out, but leasing another shop is much smarter than building an empire.

i dont like lowering cars, they did nice work on the ford though, would love to see them have worked on the model t though, but quick flips is a couple grand easy money.

I think Rick Rawlings is pretty well off financially without the TV show. He has his own personal cache of classic cars parked in a private warehouse and has sponsored several "Cannonball" cross country races. He made loads of money in the mass marketing industry. The Monkey Garage is just a hobby shop for him.

And now the TV show is "icing" on his "money cake".
