Times Herald-Record Published: 2:00 AM - 02/02/13 TOWN OF NEWBURGH — The merchandising division of Orange County Choppers filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Poughkeepsie on Thursday. The parent company, Orange County Choppers Holdings, did not file.
The merchandising division, called Hudson Valley Merchandising in court papers, lists $1.4 million in debts, all of which are judgments filed against it. All of the division's listed assets are IOUs from various accounts, including a knife company and a brand development firm.
"American Chopper," a reality show featuring the bike-building company led by Paul Teutul Sr. of Montgomery, ended its 10-year TV run in December. GE Commercial Finance started to foreclose on the Choppers' glass-and-steel headquarters in 2010. Instead of moving forward with the proceeding, the company took the deed to the building back the following year. A trustee was appointed to the case Thursday.
The Choppers division will be liquidated because it is a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Paul Teutul Sr.'s son, Dan Teutul, who runs his own steel business in Montgomery, said Friday evening that he knows nothing about his father's business. A call to the Choppers' attorney, Jonathan Pasternak, was not immediately returned.

I had begun to take the part of the Devils Advocate in this conversation, however, after fifteen minutes, I realized that I held no strong cards in my hand. Senior once commented that "OCC's sales of merchandise has tripled"; this was during a joint appearance on Letterman, with Paulie. The preceding statement may have been taken a bit too far out of context; just call me "Dr. MSNBC". I have not seen OCC gear worn by anyone for quite some time now; at least a year, maybe longer. For that matter, I have never seen any "PJD gear" adorning the heads and shoulders of AC fandom in my general area.
Devil's Advocate requirements fulfilled...
This series of events has taken far longer than the almost two month period since the final show aired. It seems that Senior's "bad cop/good cop" approach, and the entire OCC clan's deriding of all things Junior has risen to bite them in the ass.
The El Salvadorian, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani sweat shops are retooling for an anticipated production of "Gas Monkey Garage" gear, and "Amish Mafia" Halloween costumes.
Should I purchase a "Lebanon Levi", or "Amish Ester" costume??
My ex-wife would have me committed if I showed up at her door adorned in a button-down Amish themed dress, with my hair pulled back in a bun, wearing a doily atop my head.
Jeez that didn't take long. Where o where will people go to buy there chopper themed party supplies and xmas decorations?
Oops there goes my Christmas present to El gaupo.... I was going to get him a vintage O.C.C. t-shirt. Or one og those signature o.C.C. mugs.... Drat.... I guess this will put a big dent in the Chinese ecomony...

I can just picture this.... Daddie.... I want a Aaron Kaufmann doll for christmas, or I want to dress like Aaron for halloween..... He's so cool, an such a role model. Okay son.... Now just not bthe for about two months, an here put this nasty birds-nest of a beard on. I'll wear alot or cheesy Texas swag, slick my hair back, an talk fast n' loud like the man in the show.... We'll win for sure, now where can we find a hot-pink painted junk-shopped harley to finish off the costume...
Question though...? Isn't the mechandising wing of the company in most of my minds ideas is what brings in the "real" revenue to the company.... I mean for even Paulies shop the "Lifestyle wear" or the company is a big part of revunue so that you get money to build those charity theme bikes.....
Orange County Choppers Merchandising files Chapter 7 bankruptcy on January 31, 2013
Hudson Valley Merchandising, LLC d/b/a Orange County Choppers Merchandising, LLC (Newburgh, NY), the merchandising division of Orange County Choppers filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on Thursday in the Southern District of New York. The Bankruptcy Schedules were signed by Paul Teutul, Sr.
The case is pending as a Chapter 7 under Case No. 13-35193-CGM-7 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York (Poughkeepsie). The parent company, Orange County Choppers Holdings, did not file. The 341(a) Meeting of Creditors is scheduled for February 28. A Chapter 7 Trustee has been assigned.
The company’s bankruptcy Schedules list 1.1 million in assets and $1.4 million in liabilities. The assets consist primarily of accounts receivable. The liabilities consist primarily of judgments. The company stated in its Statement of Financial Affairs that it had no gross income during 2011-2013. The sole member of the company is Orange County Choppers Holdings, Inc. of Newburgh, New York. The company’s Corporate Ownership Statement indicates that Paul Teutul, Sr. owns more than 10% of the company’s equity.
Presumably, the Chapter 7 Trustee (Paul Banner) will merely liquidate the accounts receivable and distribute the funds to the judgment holders in accordance with the bankruptcy priority scheme.

Not exactly what I'd call "The Harvard Brain Trust", however, this BBS has some interesting commentary, and some possibly authored by those who drag their knuckles against the ground as they walk, somewhat upright:
Chances are, this is where much of the remaining OCC merchandise will appear for sale: http://www.olliesbargainoutlet.com/ . When The Discovery Store dumped most of the items from the 2003 thru 2005 seasons, "Ollies" was the depository for all things American Chopper.
There's a lot of VERY interesting information contained within the above referenced document. One of the accounts receivable listings is for "Bakery Craft", a company which manufactures and distributes cake decorations, ain't it ironic??
