Interesting that IMDb doesn't have a page for "Love That Bob," (note which DVD issues say "digitally enhanced" on the cover), though you can get the DVDs. I think IMDb actually lists the 1955-59 show as "The Bob Cummings Show" just to confuse us ancient relics - the only ones who would remember the original - though to be fair, I was born quite a while after its initial broadcasts, but I'm familiar with it because it was rerun until the 70's.
There was also a "Bob Cummings Show" which ran for a single season in the early 60's.
I just bought my folks a DVD of LTB (vols. 1-3) and in the course of researching it, I discovered some astonishing facts about Bob Cummings, one of my all-time favorite actors.
In dramatic films he was billed in the credits as Robert Cummings; in lighter fare, often as Bob Cummings.
Godson of Orville Wright, an old family friend, who also taught him to fly. He piloted his own plane most of his life.
He was an Air Force officer while he was a senior in high school. He was taught flying by his godfather, Orville Wright and became the first licensed flight instructor in the U.S.
There are many more interesting facts and quotes on that IMDb page, I just wanted to note the more amazing ones. I always liked Bob Cummings. He was a funny man.
