.... how much money did each team get? Gas Monkey's bike couldn't have cost more than $15k to build, yet the other 3 teams look like they sunk $100k minimum in each of their bikes.
I wonder if Gas Monkey pulled a fast one and pocketed the unspent cash from the budget they were given for the build-off.

Are you looking through a crystal ball or a "polished turd" (referencing your favorite movie, Christine)??? if the turd, better polish it a bit more ;)

It's odd that there hasn't been any mention of the Komen foundation yet tonight.
The Komen Foundation has strict rules about how their name can be used in a promotional setting. The paperwork for approval may not have gone through in time. I have a cousin who's foundation raises money for cancer research and donates to Komen every year, and they had to go through a long process to be able to use use the name for event advertising.

I completely agree, even with gas monkeys escalated prices for basically in house painting they made big money on that bike, then will probably end up selling it anyway.
Guess the rest is gonna help cover all those free t shirts they are gonna give away lol

I seriously doubt any of them agreed to pay for everything out of their own pockets. If anything, DC probably gave them each a credit line that all their expenses were billed to. It would be interesting to find out what that credit ceiling was set at though.

Does anyone have any evidence of who paid for what? Did Discovery cover the cost of the bikes? Or did each team get given a set amount from them or did each company pay for there own bikes?

Your just not a bike shop till you start selling Xmas supplies and party decorations.

Might explain why Quinn and Jason go Ga-Ga overboard thinking if we mill or design out these complex pieces that it MUST be the winning bike. Where Jessie goes if I pretty much fab everything then my bike is the fabricated BEST bike, an NO-Class Monkees is build the most "PURIST" type bike. A so-called FRED that bike MUST be the winning bike. But all Paulie has to do is build the best-looking bike, an win against the competition.
