He co-founded Orange County Choppers (OCC) with his father, Paul Teutul, Sr. in 1999. Jr. was fired from the shop in late 2008. Jr. then returned to OCC briefly as a contractor, but left for good in April 2009. Jason Pohl joined Orange County Choppers as Senior Designer in early 2004.

OCC was founded in 1999 and Jr left in 2009. That's more then Pohl.
When did the show air? 2002 so that is 7 years. And pohl been their 8 years (on air) nobody cares about off air. We didn't know they existed before the show. The year is almost over in another month so that would make Pohl have been 9 years (on air) with Occ.

Like it or not he's been with Occ longer then Junior. ;) and Senior looks up to him for "innovative" ideas. I can tell Pohl feelings was hurt poor tool.
I don't know why they don't do like they did for the early production bikes. Let them build each a bike, an let the fans vote or take best of each other an finger it out.
Sounds like the little Jaded Monkey boy just can't validate that Paul jr's way is more popular then all his training. Jason Just don't have a eye for building a bike.. Senior an Jason are hostile to Paulie talent..
Mope..look at the bigger picture. None of them are or care about junior's talent his innovative designs dropped drastically since last season. Nobody really posts about his bikes or watch the show much. Just look at the turn out in the forums the past few months dead..dead..and dead.

Pohl has been there for 8 years - Jr was there for nine, 10 if include him as contractor. How does that make Pohl's tenure longer???

Jason "I'm a real life industrial designer" Pohl = employee; cash/principal investment = (probably zero); Time investment unknown
Paul Teutul, Sr. = co-founder of prospective new company; cash/principal investment = (probably <$10,000.00); Time investment unknown
Paul Teutul, Jr. = co-founder of prospective new company; cash/principal investment = (probably <$10,000.00); Time investment unknown
Using the above information, plot the relative value of each party as an asset to said startup company, and which of the three have/has managerial input? Which of the three should have (raw) conceptual input? Which of the three should have directed conceptual input?

Like it or not but Jason isn't a bike designer he's a bike drawer who as Rick said has no idea about bikes. Yeah innovating bikes like the Horse bike, Antler bike or the Sports car bike, yep no other so called designers would ever put there name on those monstrosities. Ricks famous words, I wish we could build real bikes like we use to.

I suggest you get a netflix account and watch all the seasons. Because you can't add up. Junior's only been (on air) on the show that's called American choppers for 7 years. And jason is about to hit 9 years. So even if you want to be blunt about this fiasco by next month they'd be tie. I'll take it a step further since you want to be childish. Who's put in more hours at OCC Junior or Jason? Lmao..i think we both know Jason put in more hours on the clock right at this very minute ;)
Junior apparently is not that great at thinking on his feet. His retort to Jason's "Industrial Designer" comment should have been "well, you might be a real-life 'Industrial Designer', but you sure as hell can't design bikes".
I would have respected that far more than the actions taken during/after the confrontation.
Here's a glimpse at OCC's Facebook "recommendations" page:

But you miss the point. Jr wanted to do the designing. They threw a roller together in about 15 minutes and left it on a lift to collect dust until someone knocked it off to almost ruin nubs paint job on the trike that is still in his shop. What was he waiting for? Sr to go over there to do the handlebars again? He blamed Sr for not going to his shop to help design? That was his part. He was dragging ass as usual. How many weeks has this been going on for? You commit to doing something, do it, dont let it drag out for months and wonder why your "partner" is wondering what is happening. Jr has built a big fake gas tank, had a california company design kids bikes, got a new t shirt supplier and started to take apart the 9/11 bike, while OCC has kept production running building 3 Vegas bikes on this episode alone. All they had to do was throw fenders and bars on the prototype bike and put it on a trailer to OCC. Why has it taken so long to do that?

Thats business today kids, put it on paper and dont leave questions about what the customer wants. Take an hour to change 100 views of a bike, not a month dreaming about fenders.

When has Sr done work on a bike besides the handlebars?
HERE NOW!! Let's not discount his invaluable efforts on the Sissy Bars
S6 EP2 Lee says "the problems that's Sr is having with assembly are problems we really wouldn't have if Jr was here, since Christen is getting pulled off other projects to help out it's slowing down the process here to the point where missing deadlines on other bikes"
Doing the sissy bar Sr says I have no idear how this is going to work out. Not a clue.
What a great fabricator.

What was the point of this then and editing it? I suggest you think of something better and write a new chapter when your awake lol.
I'm going to try and remember what I tried to write last night, here goes .......
I don't understand why the meeting was in Pohl's office. He shouldn't have been involved in Sr and Jr's discussion about how the new venture was going to be structured. It's none of his business. At first he looked trapped, then he was annoying. Then he got defensive way too easily over something that wasn't even a jab at him. Jr stated that he doesn't work the same way, and Pohl went off on a nutter about how Jr was disrespecting him and his job.
Sr is right about getting an agreement on paper before moving forward. But, Sr believes that a third company needs to be created, while Jr thought that it was only going to be a collaboration between the two companies. Two entirely different things.
It's easy ......
OCC contracts PJD to design a bike to their general specs.
PJD designs the bike, then both companies get together and tweak it to make it mass-produceable.
OCC then manufactures, and markets the bike. Perhaps with a video campaign done by PJS.
Both Pauls put money in their pocket.
But you can't do any of it without a clear understanding of where the responsibilities lie, and who makes what decisions, when. PUT IT IN WRITING, and spell out the fiscal responsibilities as well.
Personally, I think that they both are crazy for participating in this hair-brained scheme. WALK AWAY ! Concentrate on your personal relationship and keep your professional lives separate.
The other post was longer, but this comes close. I used the word-blender and copy/paste this time , so I wouldn't loose it.
I have no idea why they had that meeting. Sr was really irate that jr told him to have jason design a logo. I dont know what Jr would have done if they met at his shop, but there far more trouble with Jason and Paulie to ever think they can be in the same room together.
I really dont even know if these meetings are in order of when the happened anymore. If Jr was gonna have his father at his shop, with the lift way in the back so nobody could see what else they were doing and throw out some ideas, it would be a good thing. But when Sr said he wanted a soft tail and jr didnt even act like he was listening because he already ordered a frame, this was all gonna go down hill.
Its simple, finish the roller at PJD, take it to OCC, let them give ideas on how parts can be produced on a production basis and what might have to change so tanks and fenders are not one off parts and finish the bike.
If jr wants all the design credit, thats fine, but it cant be a 50-50 company if thats all jr brings to the table.
Jr and Sr going to help the flood victims, go to a ball game, a bike show, mikeys art shows, and dinner at each others houses is hopefully all they will do as a family. Now that the show is out of the way, lets hope thats all they decide to do.

Jason showed some really deep rooted anger towards Jr. I wonder what secrets are hiding behind the scenes. Hopefully Jason doesn't suffer from any mental instability because he might track Jr down if he loses his job after the show shuts down and it could become violent. His interest in guns and knives would give me cause for concern.

We didn't see Jr tell them to design anything, why would he? More lies from OCC, what's new?
No... We saw Jr tell Jason to design the company logo for the bike. It was the episode where Jr first met with Sr and Jason at OCC. He may have been trying to be facetious when he said it, but JR DID TELL HIM to design a logo.

Why would they need a logo when in Jr's mind it's a joint efffort from PJD and OCC?

Why could not it be PMT logo on a OCC bike or Paulies signiture on a OCC bike, or a Jr crown on a OCC bike. Why's it have to be a none recognized logo. I really don't think it even the problem of working wiith a industrial designer, JUST a CERTAIN Stool pushing tool named Jason Pohl. I'd run too if pressured into a situation that clearly would make myself feel uncomfortable try tl avoid it.

You're right about the logo, I don't know what's happening to my aging brain. I just found the conversation in Episode10 but it's nowhere close to how I comprehended it.
Jason was on a conference call badgering Jr about a nickname for the bike, not a logo. My bad (again)

Didn't Jr tell Jason to design the logo for the Sr-Jr production bike? He seems to be denying it in these twitters he posted last night.......
He's twittering a lot regarding what's being shown in recent episodes. Something is bothering him about the show.
That drama queen needs to grow up and learn how to build a chopper and get his arms dirty and not tell the crew what to do like Senior. Funny i see Senior do more work on his bikes then Junior now. Back then when PJD was making fun of Senior. Let's see how he trys to redeem himself seeing the show is canned and no more big checks. MILO anyone?

I have a new found respect for Jr. after Pohlie talked loud to his back. I’m two things, nosey and hard of hearing. I would have had to go back to his face and have him answer his own question and if he wanted to talk loud we could do dat, because I went to talk loud school.
I understand the OCC guys are scared to death the PJD crew would move in and take over and they would be stuck playing second fiddle, and the PJD crew, for the most part, all have hurt feelings from OCC. This just makes it all the more confusing why Sr. & Jr. ever wanted to repeat history.

Funny i was watching the episode last night before junior got fired when he made fun of some bars Junior made and it hurt his feelings. When has Junior made some bars by hand? the machine does 75 percent the work.

So Sr can only do handlebars because the machine does 75 percent of the work.

Oh no, you're one of THEM! I do woodworking as a hobby and on some of the forums I visit there is the debate of what is "Handmade". To some what I do is not handmade because I use a tablrsaw, router, jigssaw, etc. So I have to ask you the same thing I ask them, which builder scratches out their parts with their baer fingernails?

Face it, unless "back-pedalling" becomes an Olympic sport, you're only recourse is a little humility when the numbers prove you wrong. Do you like your crow with or without gravy? Perhaps a little humble pie for dessert?

I thought the post about jesse james not using drawings to build choppers was in this thread. If you watched outlaw garage, they started with a drawing to build the 200mph two seater for the F1 track.

I looked for that thread but can not find it, but basically I asked you style chopper is the F-1 racer? Yes I notice the car builders use conceptual drawings, but the question concerns choppers, not cars, trucks, buildings or bridges.
So, when the original idea came up to design a production bike, the deal was Jr. would design it and OCC would manufacture it. Which in my mind was a good idea. Then over the past few months Sr. started to undermine the central proposition by incorporating OCC staff in the design process. What should have been done was that Jr. should have designed the bike presented it OCC for review. Any problems or issues should have been brought up at that time and Jr. could have incorporated any changes that were needed for production. Sr. has undermined the whole deal by putting OCC staff into the design process. So when you consider the whole history you can see why Jr. got upset and left. Actually, the way the argument took place shows a level of maturity between the two of them. In the past they would have destroyed an office or thrown a chair at something. So when Jr. just walked away it showed that he had gain some modicum of self control.
Jr. showed a lot of restraint when dealing with Jason Pohl's ridiculous argument that Jr. was disrespecting his position at OCC as a designer. JR.'s point he was making had nothing to do with Pohl's capabilities at OCC. Pohl is just trying to prove he can be a serious tough guy after repeatedly coming off as an idiot on every show he is on. Pohl should be a silent part of the show.
