Of course this show follows various people who are making moonshine. The show is interesting. And of course there is the legal aspect, which adds danger. Some of the guys are certainly characters.
I hope Tim gets the funding needed to go legit. That seems what he really wants to do. I read an article and he stated that people are hesitant to invest in his venture, because they feel that if someone broke the law in the past, that he might do it again. But if Tim had a legit business, I do not think he would endanger that. Besides, I think the public would purchase his product.
I didn't even make it through the first episode I watched. The family is immigrants and we made our own wine and liquors some years, not to mention I live in a state where there are liquor stores in every town. Hard to get in on the transgressive nature angle when it is so routine in your life.
IHMO I don't feel that are not quite doing enough to show the darker side of moonshinning. That have seemed to make it romantic or Entertaining to the business that is know to run there still though old radiators or less than sanitary equipment or water suppiles. There's people that die or go blind on bad shine, why isn't any of that being shown.
