In the "Old Wounds" episode, Senior reaches out to Craig Piligian about another build-off. Mr. Piligian seems to like the idea, but he makes this comment about Junior

"Let me call Junior. That conversation will be $#@&^%^ painful" Craig Piligian: Old Wounds

Now what do you think he means by this??????

Don't you see something wrong that Junior demands more money than anyone???? Doesn't that sound spoiled, if that is the case????? It just does not sound cool. Like Junior will be your friend, but only if you pay him. Doesn't he realize that it is an honour to be in the position he is in. Junior should be thankful, not demanding of everyone. Wanting others to bow to his needs monetarily. How does that fit in with a "good" guy???

Piligian just stated that Jesse would get money if he participated in the build (Outlaw Garage:Mystery Client Hot Rod Part 2). So apparently they do get paid.

Tonight's episode what wholly painful to watch, for a few moments, I tuned in to NatGeo and watched an Alaska State Trooper "dispatch" a moose that charged him. As for Piligian's commentary, the guy set's my "a*shole alarm" off, literally. What an arrogant and vainglorious person he is; true, Junior would do best with a show on OWN, however, Craig Piligian defines the terms egotistical and self-centered.

P.G.,

One of the things that I have had to learn because of the need to accurately select "psychotropic" medications is how to read someones mannerisms and intent. I'm pretty good at telling a patient who is feigning a painful condition, from one who is scared of becoming painful.

Craig sees himself as a puppeteer, and he projected the feeling of "without Pilgrim, you're nothing, and you'd have nothing - and would still be performing your former occupation". I'm sure the "two crew situation" during the Sr. vs Jr days had a lot to do with his commentary, but I'll side with Junior in that regard, because he had to have some shielding/protection from a father who's wholesale intention was the ruination of his start-up business.

I would agree with that, PG....

About six months ago, I presented a talk/lecture to the Jaycees chapter which serves my area, the topic was "charitable funding for reconstructive surgery to correct birth defects of the male urinary tract".  One of the members made the comment that "you seem quite sure of your position, almost as if there's no other way to accomplish the task - other than having you perform the procedure".

I reminded him that I'd much rather have a physician/surgeon who is self-assured, than one who displays even the slightest doubt in his abilities. This is probably Craig Piligian's slant on things, too...

Piligian also threw a dig at Sr when he asked him what the hell was that thing you built, or something like it. I don't remember the exact wording.

I don't know why people keep saying Jr should have a show of his own. He is easily one of the dullest people on television.

I have to say this season I am having a very hard time staying interested in the show, particularly since we seem to be headed for more Jr Sr drama. We've seen all this sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many times before.

Junior has always been dull and boring. And that is due to him constantly thinking about what to do, how to move, what pose to make while the camera is rolling. In other words, Junior is boring because he has carefully constructed a character to be that way. Junior never wants to be caught saying anything "bad", or doing anything "bad". But in the process, he has become vanilla.

Anyways, I find it interesting that people wish to place "blame" on Piligian instead of someone else. To me, it sounds like another excuse to absolve Junior of anything that could possible be interpreted as "bad" or "negative". This is just the next in the long list of "Junior excuses". When a company has a bad experience at PJD, well that is not Junior's fault, it is theirs. When a customer has a bad time at PJD, well that is not Junior's fault, that is his. When the producer has a tough time with Junior, well that is not Junior's fault, that is his.,.......... And on and on and on, over and over.

Who placed blame on Piligian? And what blame? Also when did Jr start to worry about being a carefully constructed character?

Junior has always worried abut that Coxie. Junior is the King of public perception.

You, yourself Coxie, has placed stress on Piligian being the "bad" guy and not Junior. Like somehow if Piligian can somehow be painted in a negative light, then his comments about Junior are not valid. But it really means just more and more and more excuses that are manufactured, in order that Junior comes nowhere near anything negative.

So when did it start El? B4 he left OCC? From day 1 of AC? When he started PJD? When?

So now it's not blamed it's stressed. Me not trusting Piligian has nothing to do with Jr. And why should it? Me not liking him doesn't mean his comment is either right or wrong. As someone said it is probably cause Jr wanted them to pay for his entire crew again, unlike Sr who leaves his crew behind.

I believe Junior to have begun crafting his image while at OCC. Still believe that Junior is behind, his not being shown smoking deal. So during the run of OCC, Junior sees the importance of public perception. Junior sees the image that Senior has, and works to craft a "positive" image for himself. This is why he is so calculating. And also why he does not like horseplay. See horseplay is spontaneous. Junior is the opposite. Junior is carefully planned out, what to say, how to move. Anything that might cause the plan to go off course, Junior does not like. (again horseplay, joking).

Is anyone on the show ever shown smoking? So Sr is fake then? Then why have we seen more horseplay at PJD then OCC?

No they are not seen smoking. But sEnior was sure not behind it, as he does not smoke. Discovery is not behind it, as the Captains on Deadliest Catch smoke all the time. So really who does the "don't show us on camera smoking" benefit?????? It benefits Junior. When you are looking into things, look to see who is benefiting. That is probably the person.

We haven't seen Sr inject steroids or HGH either, is he cultivating a personality as well ?

The benefit for Junior is that he does not incur the wrath of the anti smoking people.

The reason I bring it up, is that it is another example of how Junior has created a "good, positive" character for American Chopper. Junior is different off camera than what is shown. It is a "personae" that Junior created to maximize the money flowing into his accounts.

-Anti-smoking is big in the US. When I go there, no smoking in restaurants, most public places, even some bars. And there are ads everywhere. Anti-smoking.

It could be different in Australia.

Who cares about the anti smoking people? He's a bike designer. Don't designers smoke?

Why would he be considered bad for smoking? The guy is human. If people in the US don't worry about what many other stars do then why would they worry or care if Jr smoke?

Actually Coxie, I think people in the US view smoking as "bad". I even believe if you tried to smoke in like a restaurant, that other people eating there would tell you to stop.

Many States and Towns have anti-smoking laws here. As a heavy smoker, I can tell you that people have NO problem letting me know how bad a person I am for fouling THEIR air. Some Cities even have laws banning smoking on public property. And anytime Lawmakers want more revenue, they automatically raise taxes on tobacco, because they know that we are a minority block of voters nowadays.

And the same in Oz, but a person who smokes is not considered good or bad for smoking. People look at what that person does on a whole.

I don't have a problem with smoking. I think it is personal choice. But I do feel that if someone was creating a "good personae", they would make that "good" person a non-smoker.

Coxie:"How do you know Sr doesn't smoke?"

I used to take out the trash, don't you remember???

No really, I think Senior said something about it one time.  I will check. Maybe I can find it.

Horseplay?????

I think if you look there are more shenanigans that have taken place over at OCC, than PJD.  Another difference is that Senior will take part, whereas Junior just tell everyone to stop and go back to work.

The Holdens pretty much have the lock-hold on the Aussie performance issue; they tried to fashion one of the last REAL Pontiac's after their G8, and damn near took Holden under...

Great Detroit management, huh??  A car with great potential, and they give 50 of them away on Oprah...

Coxie would not last 5 minutes in Mexico.  But I would drag him to the cage for sure then.

Now, Piligian's comments seem to indicate that Junior is a hand full.  I don't understand why Junior would not be greatful to Piligian.  Piligian made PJD.  Without their backing, no way Junior could have gotten the shop up and running so quickly and get the clients he has.

They would love coxie in Mexico. Do you know how much the cartels could fit in my chair?

ha. That was funny, but wrong.

Yes, Piligian got OCC going also. Which is why I think it is bad, that Junior apparently is hard to deal with, even with Piligian himself. The man who is responsible for one's success. Junior should be grateful to that man.

However, it seems that Junior is never grateful to those who have helped him. Junior is not grateful to Senior. Junior is not grateful to Piligian. Junior seems to think he is entitled somehow. Or maybe it is just arrogance.

Just cause he's not a kiss ass like Sr doesn't mean he isn't grateful. Being a pain and being unngrateful are two seperate things.
