I tried, they paid 25,500 for a 69 hemi motor that they still ended up tearing into and changing parts. Overall it wasnt bad, spent more time showing donuts than builds, but I guess I am hooked on fat guys chasing monsters, I will end up watching fat guys trying to crawl under cars to put a drive shaft on.

Actually get some minor humor enjoyment out of this program. Better than the former automotive productions before. But, I have to cry at some of the scripting. Taking a ls4-5-6 454 mathting # rat motor out in place a crate motor in it... The vette was too nice on the rest of body an wheels to understand how just driver door and bonnet where only issues other than what was said was non original parts
yeah, but after seeing that the guy already swapped out the intake and heads, didnt have the original exhaust manifolds, it was a decent block but unless they get the cast iron engine parts back the guy already destroyed the numbers matching money. Should probably reassemble that motor back to original to have a sales option.
I have dish network and the storms thru chicago wrecked my viewing night so I didnt see the whole show. The writing, yeah, they have lifts at the shop and constantly jack up cars to let fat guys underneath. The myth is keeps is fat guys are eating chips and greasy chicken all day, so many hardly eat and stay big. Seem to know what they are doing though, still would rather have more hands on tools than food though.

Yeah that's true, but seeing chunky guys moaning an groaning to squeeze under cars. Some large gearheads can relate, or regular can LAO at big guys huffing an puffing out of breath doing a valve lash adjustment. I agree for heavens sake that the team needs to need to get their hands greasy or dirty from something other than choking down a spare rib or a double-blubber burger.
But I still assert that is the best auto-related program to come out on DSC in a long time. IMHO, I say more food, fast cars and Fun.
kinda blew to have to watch two more ford builds the same show.
But honestly, the two fat guys went with the stop watch to see if the fastback would go 100 in 13.5 seconds. (Where that owner even got that number made me see he was not a car guy) But if you just paid 60k for a car, wouldnt you have wanted to be the one holding that stop watch?

Not too bad yesterday, at least with the builds. That Atomic Bob pinstriper dude wanting a finished car in a week should have been turned down. Seriously, does the guy not like his own work? I understand he cannot build, slam or paint a car, but if your profession is pinstriping wouldnt you rather have at least done enough to layout the flames?
