We were big fans of "Wingnuts," and were bummed when it suddenly disappeared. Apparently there wasn't enough "drama" in watching guys wander through a plane graveyard, cutting chunks off planes or removing things, restoring them and then fashioning them into things like furniture... including desks! (Like the way I did that segue to within reach of the topic?)

My wife and I first noticed that desk in the episode where Junior and Joe were discussing the lawsuits Senior had just dumped on them. We both looked at each other and said; "Wingnuts!"

Wingnuts/motoarts stuff shows up all the time in the backgrounds for various shows. I saw one on a "CSI" episode, and I don't even recall anything else about the show, just that desk. I'll bet 90% of what they made were desks, because if you look at an airplane wing and ask yourself; "gosh, what can I make outta that thing?" Guess what springs to mind...

A place I worked at a few years ago had one of their converted bomb fish tanks in the lobby.
