Junior or OCC needing one to knock it out the park.

Here are some of my irrational thoughts on what it's going to take for Senior or Junior to get back to a program on the television again.  Either of them need a build to get the magazines exposure or media exposure like the G.O.W. or fire bike, or any bike that would get them big time media coverage.

The motorcycle show craze started with motorcycle mania and chopper challenges. The Teutels were never a part of that. I think the real hatred most builders have for the Teutels is they were not ever a part of the "outlaw" chopper club. Did they ever build a bike that had national attention before the show, or was this a chopper company trying to find their place that discovery thought they would be able to control? I know others here have timelines of why junior was the key to the chopper craze, but I never knew about OCC until they got a show. So to say they need to knock one out of the park is basically true for any company, but if their true loves in life are building choppers, they should not care if they have a show or not. I still say the wedge would not have been driven thru the family if they never got a show, but its the route these programs are going.

You give fast and loud as an analogy. If you remember, they set a car hood on fire and aaron jumped on the bumper and ran over the hood on flames. Aaron would have done that if there were cameras or not. KC on the other hand, is shown racing around on a golf cart with a camera on the golf cart as well as hand helds. That would probably not happen without the cameras or show. Getting national recognition on magazines and winning trophies at bike shows is great, its the old way to get business. I dont think they get the big builds anymore because they dont come with 2 hour publicity. Thats jr's angle, produce his own show, even if its a web show to promote his customers.

That was well-put, idiot. I actually agree with everything you said, and I keep waiting for the sky to fall.

Really, I agree. No kidding.

I seen Junior's work in the chopper rags much before the AC show.  I was seening the craze about OCC when the Spier-man bike for Wyclef, because it was the start of the one of the early in the rise of the theme bike choppers.  Maybe the hatred is that at that time Junior is one of the inovaters of the idear.  While that to someone else may come out an say they we the starter, but Junior is the one that took it to it's zenith over the ten years that American Chopper was on.  One might say that it's the reason the show died out is the theme bike has come an gone.
