Where are the Republican watchdogs when you need them ?
I have to say that I'm just a little PO'd by the fact that I, as a text deficient american, am barred from voting in the Chopper Revenge polls. I call FOUL !!!
Those of us who have invested years in supporting this program, but don't have access to one of them new fanggled texting machines, should have the same opportunities to vote for our favorite bike as any 12 year old with twitchy thumbs.
It's discrimination, I tell you !! I ENVOKE MY RIGHTS UNDER THE ADA REGULATIONS, to be treated fairly, like any other voter !
Where's Johnny Cochran when you need him ! HE"S WHAT !!! damn .........................................
I feel bad myself... But I have faith in the PJD nation.. If not I'd be happy that he built what IMHO is a outstanding bike. It's equal in beauty to laqst years build an or will be another ICONIC bike like the BW, to go out like this is no shame for PJD an American Chopper.
You forget, we Americans believe that the rest of the world doesn't know how to vote properly. That's why we're always trying to tell you what you should do.
Besides, can you imagine everyone in the world running around with purple ink on their fingers after voting ? There wouldn't be enough ink left to re-elect all the Dictator's who pocket our Foreign Aid money.
I tried using txtdrop.com, and that service only accepts 10-digit numbers..... Guess I'll have to use the IPhone.... That does suck, by the way... Where do I have to go to get an Obamaphone????
I dont like it either, but its much easier to keep people from stuffing the ballot, one phone, one vote.
Unless you have multiple texting devices.... Pre-paid cell-phones???? Maybe Senior or the others could buy up unlimited amount of them an have the crew sit all night sending votes in for his bike... Gas Monkey said they would give out t-shirts to texters for them.......LMAO....Let me borrow some of rumples foil to keep the voices out...
just saying, computers are much easier to run a multiple IP or switch IP's to have one vote from the same computer. there are programs that do it automatically. I have no texting savvy at all, but after four tries got a vote in and then a response about thanks for your enthusiasm but you can only vote once, so half went thru.

I can't remember where I saw it; probably Twitter, but they alluded to other bike build offs between the guys. So if they use the same text system here is the secret at least for an iPhone. You bring up a new contact and type in the phone number (it didn't require a 10 digit number) and then in the content section I put in 1 for PJD.
I had texted Jr on Twitter and told him if you want votes you need to give enough information to allow us to text on our phones. He provided the information. The one thing they did not provide was the information telling you to do it on a new contact page. But then they might not have known how all phones work. I was able to figure that part out.
In terms of paying to vote, other contest shows on TV require you to text or call your vote in to a number and you pay for the call. Of course the amount of time you spend on the phone is minimal.

In Australia the text get charged at a premium rate. I'm not totally sure because I refuse to give the channels more money but a normal text cost 25c while the premium is 55c.

You know, perhaps they should have a build off between OCC and Jesse? I actually thought Sr's bike was better than Jesse's so he might stand a chance. Just saying....
There must have been voter fraud. I don't see how anyone could have voted for Senior or Jesse James.
If you saw chopper live, last night. i missed catching the segment where, the reason that sabotaged Jessies build time was by Senior having Jesse build him that Rat Rod. That sabotaged Jesse from making the deadline which IMO sabtaged him from getting more votes than F 'n L an I am sure that is how Senior got in a few sneak peeks as to what Jessie was doing an pretty much copying what jessie was doing in the frameless sport chopper..
OCC did not copy anyone. You must be thinking back to when Junior copied the design of the Cadillac, shrunk it down and fitted it to a motorcycle. Truly innovative to steal someone's else's design.

Now now El we all know who the copycat is bud. Remember the flame thrower and how Jason stole that design?

"If we take this (Cadillac) hood and cut it down the middle and moosh it together, that will be our tank" Junior; Cadillac Build Off I
Innovation at its best. Don't worry about designing something new. Just take what is there, downscale it and bang!!!!!, you are a genius designer.
I know what a stupid idea to have the bike look similar to the car, what was he thinking? He should take note how a real life infustrial designer does it. The Sports bike that looked nothing like a Ferrari was another gem from the fohl.

Now... Now... Doc... We have to try to look at some things an give Poollie some big time credit. He did with his program of 1'
s and Zero's and his paint by number software. Did one Hell of a number on the New-Wwe belt, considering he spinning pimped-out on that aJohn Cena had made about 5 yrs ago.
Chip Foose - another fabricator turned designer whom Jason Foole is not qualified to be in the same room with. Just imagine what might have been if Sr had hired an individual who learned design fom real world fabrication rather than the xbox playstation monkey who filled the seat. The first requirement should have been show me what you've built from your designs, not gee that there is a cool looking chopper you put in dat der OCC electronic pinball...why don't you uhmmm come drawer errr..choppers for me...uhmmm.....der.....
Well, look at what kind of quality worker he got when he decided to hire a well known, experienced fabricator from Milwaukee Iron in Tennessee.
(Lee Stamper)
Even Jr made the same mistake of hiring Lee when he started PJD.

We all know Foole was only hired to draw Jr's designs. When did he became this so called "real life industrial designer"??? If he was this "real life industrial designer" why would he take a job drawing someone's designs?

He hired PHULE because a real life designer would have demanded a higher paycheck. Buy cheap, get cheap, build cheap.
Lee was originally on a knock off show (I think they called it "Southern Steel") that very few people saw, and that didn't last long. The owner of that shop (Milwaukee Iron) died, and not long after, Sr hired him as a fabricator. That didn't last long either, and Lee was sent packing. He tried several times to get his own shop going, and to get back on tv, but between the bad economy and well ... him, it didn't work out. He may still be working on bikes, but I don't know what happened to him since.
Why either of the Teutuls would hire him again is beyond me. He was an ok fabricator (medium skilled), but a train wreck of a human being.

Coxie:" I know what a stupid idea to have the bike look similar to the car"
Similar????? It was a scale down. No innovation. Nothing original. Which is funny because those are the exact words plastered all over the truck Junior drives and probably every thing else he owns.
I could see if an item inspires someone to design something else. But if all you do, is make it smaller, I just don't see genius, innovative, original design.
Also check this old "Biker Build-off" episode.......
Concerning the Build Off, to have 10 builders on 1 I can see the need for some type of map to work from.
But the Arlen Ness video, that is the first I have ever seen him have a concept drawing. This makes me wonder how often he uses them and if they are just routinely not filmed or edited out, and if this is the case with the others?
Thanks for doing the “leg work” coming up with these videos.
Following this thread is like watching a tennis match being played by two schizophrenics on biker crank.
It starts way back in early December with Jakemac saying; "...Those of us who have invested years in supporting this program, but don't have access to one of them new fanggled texting machines, should have the same opportunities to vote for our favorite bike as any 12 year old with twitchy thumbs...."
Yadda yadda...
Then Elgjuapo lobs this gem (which has fuqhall to do with anything, as far as I can tell); "OCC did not copy anyone. You must be thinking back to when Junior copied the design of the Cadillac, shrunk it down and fitted it to a motorcycle. Truly innovative to steal someone's else's design. ..."
Lee is mentioned, Chip Foose appears briefly and an Arlen Nest video surfaces, which for some insane "reason" makes Elgjuapo start babbling about things shrinking (!) and being copied and something about innovation and words plastered on Junior's truck...
... and now is characterized by a Lucha Libre Mexican wrestler "action figure."
Pass the prozac.

Well the only thing that matters in the end is how much they raised and considering the PJD bike raised over double of what the OCC bike raised maybe Foole should of did a bike like the PJD. What's funny is how in that episodee Sr was bragging how he always wanted competition and then when he gets it and loses he starts crying about it being a popularity thing but before the lose we never heard a word of that BS.
